Have you ever been mad about why you can’t stay focused?

As a constant learner, figuring out the key elements that enable me to stay focused is vital. And right now I’m gonna show you what I find out, enable me to fully be in the work.

1 Environment

Do you know the brain is like a super operating center, always receiving, recognizing, and working on information from the environment?

Research shows that if you keep your working place tidy & clean, will help your brain focus on the work since your only need to do the work rather than other unimportant things like messy books scattered around.

Next time if you want to stay focused, just keep your working place tidy & clean. This is the simplest but most efficient way!

2 Entering the “ Flow ” mode

“ Flow ” is a word describing the situation in which you’re fully devoting yourself to things you are working on, and there are 2 key factors that help you open the “ Flow “ mode:

(1) Working at the temple you are used to, and working at the place you like

We people are used to staying in controllable, predictable, regular situations

So if you like to prepare for the test a few days ago rather than the day before, keep it becomes your classic style. If you like to study at Starbucks rather than a library, make it become a habit.

(Surprisingly, research shows that studying or working in a place that is a bit noisy will help you do better!)

(2) Try to gain the present feedback from what you did.

Like integrating notes, this will make your brain review and output integrated information at the same time. Then you will truly understand and be aware of what you have studied and worked

3 Eating low calories food before work

Eating low calories food, and keeping a healthy diet will stabilize your blood sugar concentration at a stable range, which keep you feeling sober and energetic.

Your blood sugar concentration will FLY rapidly, and FALL rapidly If you eat high calories food like coke, french fries, and cake.

The rapid change in blood sugar concentration will make you first feel energetic and then feel dizzy, and you will be confused: “Why do I feel good at the beginning but end up working inefficiently?”

Next time if you want to stay focused, remember not to eat fast food or high calories food. Trust me, it will make a huge impact on efficiency.

And I need to clarify there is no need to give up on eating fast food or delicacies, just remind yourself not to eat them when it’s about to work.

Eating is a happy thing, letting yourself eat things you like is always right for sure!

Staying focused or being fully in the works may sound hard, and I used to agree with that. But after I read books about how our brain and body work then I understand what I can do to help myself!

Today I just want to share what I learned, I’ve put them into practice and got great results, and I hope you guys can understand more about it!
